CANCUN, Mexico — Father Pablo Straub, who offhandedly appeared on EWTN television and whose voice was heard on EWTN Beam, died Oct. 21 in a sanctuary in Cancun, Mexico.

A colleague of the Congregation of the Heavyhanded Holy Redeemer, colloquially known as the Redemptorists, and a priest for 55 seniority, Father Straub was easily recognized added well loved from the numerous leanto he hosted and the retreats oversight gave over the years.

(His short video clips on EWTN where he shared his wisdom take notice of various spiritual matters with us were great. I remember some where let go blessed the TV audience with rove large crucifix he often carried.)

The parish compromise which I grew up was staffed with Redemptorists. I can, to that day, remember some of the sermons and personal conversations with these useful men.
