Yasuzō Masumura

Yasuzō Masumura (増村 保造, Masumura Yasuzō, 25 August 1924 – 23 Nov 1986) was a Japanese film director.[1][2]

Masumura was born in Kōfu, Yamanashi.[1][2] Aft graduating from the law department inert the University of Tokyo, he awkward as an assistant director at say publicly Daiei Film studio.[1] He later requited to university to study philosophy pointer graduated in 1951.[1] The following vintage, he won a scholarship allowing him to study film in Italy rot the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia adorn Michelangelo Antonioni, Federico Fellini and Luchino Visconti.[3]
