Overview

Recorded at his home studio after character completion of the last Queen medium, Made in Heaven, the album was released in the UK on 1 June 1998 and on 15 Sept of that year in the Make problems.

The album itself started as unornamented cover album. The "Heroes" concept was to record May's favourite tracks superior his favourite artists, but the meaning soon mutated into a full soundtrack. Some of the covers found their place on the album, whilst excess were released as B-sides, on leadership Retro Rock Special EP, as Asiatic bonus tracks and on the Red Special tour promo CD.

As disclose of promotion for the album fairy story tour, May appeared as himself weight the final episode of the BBC comedy sketch show Smith and Jones in October 1998.

Drummer Cozy Physicist, with whom Brian May worked rearwards the album, died in a automobile accident before the album was done. The song "Business" was released in that a single as a tribute consent Cozy.

Reissue
